Who we are
Alachua's first Christian theatre company
Throughout history, the most creative and beautiful art, from music and dramatic to visual and studio art, has come from the hearts of those devoted to Christ. But through the years, Christians have slowly given over their roles in artistic spaces to hedonistic and worldly people. Because of this, the art landscape has dramatically changed. How do we take back our role in Creative Culture, and in so doing, imitate our Creator God? This was the heart behind the establishment of Florida Truth Center for the Performing Arts. Our desire is to redeem the theatre space and bring it back to how it was used during the Renaissance Period – a vehicle to bring Biblical TRUTH to the masses. As Christians, we want to hone the God-given talents of our students to be used to graphically depict TRUTHS of God’s Word. Beyond our audiences, our desire is to nurture the hearts of our students – so that they know and understand the soul-shaking truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and have a clear grasp of what it means to truly be a growing disciple of Jesus.

Meet Our Team
April Damm
April graduated with a B.S. from Union University in 1997. She has been a high school drama teacher, as well as led drama ministries at various churches. She has years of experience in script writing, directing, and managing drama and theatre programs. She has a heart for recapturing the arts space for truth in storytelling.
GraceAnna Damm
GraceAnna is currently enrolled at the University of Florida, on track to earn her Bachelor’s in Theatre. Since high school she has performed in and helped with multiple productions. She is passionate about teaching youth how God created them to create.
